To stir up some seasonal excitement and boost engagement, Jarvis Press/RR Donnelley mailed a personalized Halloween “Boo Box” to past, current, and potential clients—a playful yet strategic direct mail piece sent one month before Halloween. Featuring the attention-grabbing headline “Spooked by Lack of Response Rates?” and the clever payoff “We Have the Magic Ink,” the campaign highlighted the company’s full suite of marketing capabilities beyond traditional printing.

Recipients were treated to a surprise delivered via postal mail and invited to join the fun by sending a Boo Box to someone else. More than just a treat, the experience showcased Jarvis Press/RR Donnelley’s omni-channel marketing tools, real-time analytics, streamlined print technology, and creative services.

A QR code invited recipients to a lunch-and-learn session, where they could specify the types of insights they wanted to receive in the future—turning a spooky season gesture into a data-driven marketing opportunity.
